Sign in with your PNG phone number — a one-time code arrives on WhatsApp, or by SMS if WhatsApp cannot reach you. No password, no app store. Drivers apply in the app and are ID-checked before their first ride.

Riders unlock BM rewards at 50, 100, 200, 350 and 500 km; drivers climb bronze, silver and gold tiers each month.

Wan PMV uses BM ID for riders and drivers, and the BM wallet for fares. The SOS feed lands on the BM staff dashboard within seconds.
- Blockchain Melanesia is working with the Bank of Papua New Guinea to secure its e-money licence for the BM wallet.
- Every driver is identity-checked and approved by BM staff before their first ride; approval can be withdrawn.
- SOS alerts go to people, not a mailbox — BM staff see them live.

- Your phone number is your ID: one-time codes on WhatsApp (SMS if WhatsApp cannot reach you), no passwords, the same BM ID in every BM app.

Where does Wan PMV operate?
The pilot runs in Port Moresby. Other towns follow as drivers sign up.
How do I become a driver?
Apply in the app with your ID, licence and vehicle details. BM checks them and approves you; you keep your rating and rewards from then on.
What does a ride cost?
Fares are set per class and distance and shown before you book. Comfort and Premium classes are available in the pilot.
Is cash still okay?
Yes. Paying from the BM wallet is quicker and gives you a receipt, but cash is always accepted.
